The relationships between alcohol consumption, body mass index (BMI) and various laboratory markers (e.g., alanine and aspartate aminotransferases (ALT, AST) and albumin as markers of liver status, uric acid reflecting the status of oxidative stress, and ?-glutamyl-transferase.
